Old, Horse Book - Wildwing by Phoebe Erikson

Old, Horse Book - Wildwing by Phoebe Erikson -

This vintage, child's, hardbound book is called Wildwing and it is a story about horses, one in particular, and an Arapahoe Indian boy in Wyoming. It was illustrated by the author, Phoebe Erikson with simple black and white line drawings. It has 180 pages with a 1959 copyright date and was published by Harper and Brothers of New York. This is one of the many books offered by the Weekly Reader Children's Book Club Education Center of Ohio. It has its original dust jacket.

It measures about 5 5/8" by 8 1/4" by 3/4" and is in good condition. The inside pages are crisp and clean with minimal wear and a tight spine. The hard cover has minimal edge wear but has been generally protected by the dust cover although the spine edge it lighter in color than the front and back as though it has faded. The dust cover has light soiling and edge wear but has protected the hardcover well. The inside back portion of the dust cover has been cut off, which is what was intended, to be used as a bookmark.
