Old, Evening in Paris, Talc & Perfume Bottles Set -
This is a vintage, boxed gift set of Bourjois Evening in Paris from New York. The cardboard box holds three cobalt blue bottles. The largest one is the Talcum powder and measures 4 7/8" high by 2 7/8" wide. It is in very good condition with its original silver foiled label and sliding shaker lid with a protective cardboard shipping ring. It is full and appears to have never been used. There is a patent number on the lid that would date it to 1938.
The medium sized bottle measures about 3 5/8" tall by 1 7/8" wide and has a screw on metal lid and a foiled label on the front stating it as; Eau de Cologne. The empty bottle is in good condition but the label is wrinkled along one side and some of the writing is worn off. This bottle and the larger one have the Bourjois embossed name on the bottom.
The smallest bottle would have been the purse size measuring about 1 ¾" high by ½" in diameter. It is in good condition with its original metal, screw on lid but the label is worn to the point of being all but gone and it too is empty.
The box measures about 7" by 5 ¼" by 1 3/8" with angled edges at the front and back. It has nice, stylized graphics and the "evening in paris" name and is in nice condition with light wear, primarily along the edges. The liner inside is in very good condition for holding the bottles in place and there is a paper batt in the lid that is stamped repeatedly; Bourjois.
