Old, Carved Shell Cameo, Picture Locket

This is an interesting cameo locket pendant. It is carved from a natural shell and has nice detail. The young woman has her hair swept back adorned with a flower and she is wearing a corsage that looks like a poinsettia. The shell is set in a simple bezel with a looped wire detail. This pendant is also a picture locket with the detailed back opening up to two old photographs inside. The bottom edge of the back reads; PR.ST.CO.1/20 12k G.F.. I have added a jump ring as shown in the last two photos. This does not come with the chain, it is only being shown as an example.

Overall it measures about 1 7/16" by 1 316" wide. The shell portion measures about 1 ¼" by 7/8". The picture size is about 7/8" by 5/8". It is in very nice condition with minimal overall wear. The loop at the top shows that it was worn as there are notches from a chain and it is thin and the plating is worn. Chain not included.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
