Old Hand Painted Ceramic Art Tile - Southwestern Indian Storyteller

Old Hand Painted Ceramic Art Tile - Southwestern Indian Storyteller

This is an attractive tile with pleasing colors that would fit well in a Southwest decorating scheme. It features an Indian woman with seven children poised on her awaiting a story to be told. In the back is a pueblo building. The front is signed Teissedre with a 1984 copyright. The tile is mounted on a fiberboard backing with a small hole so it can be hung on the wall. It could also be used as a trivet or on an easel an artistic accent. The back has a label that identifies it as a piece by Cleo Teissedre, Handcrafted in the U.S.A.. The is also another foiled paper label that reads; Santa Fe, New Mexico.

It measures just shy of 6" square and is in very nice condition with minimal wear. There are a few tiny flakes off the edge that are not in the glazed area.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
