Old, Master Rule, Streamline Steel Tape Measure
This is a vintage, 6 foot steel tape measure in a metal housing from the 1930's. One side reads; Streamline No. 406 Master Rule Mfg. Co., Inc. - Made in U.S.A. along with a patent number dating this to 1935. It also reads; Inside Measure along the side and has a locking lever so you can pull the tape out and lock it in place. When the mechanism is released the tape can be push in gently. The steel tape is marked on both sides with 32nds on the top edge and 16ths on the bottom edge.
The housing measures about 2" by 2" by 5/8" and the nickel finish is in fairly good condition with light wear. The tape is in nice condition with minor rub wear and a few dark areas of discoloration.
