Old Porcelain Whimsey - Mind Your Own Business Scotsman

Old Porcelain Whimsey - Mind Your Own Business Scotsman

This cute, vintage porcelain is a piece made by the Schafer and Vater company of Germany. A chubby Scotsman looks over his shoulder with a grin. Under his cloth, red and green plaid kilt it reads; Of Course I've Pants Ye Fool, playing on the age old question of what do Scots wear under their kilts. On the back under the open hole are incised numbers; 3836 which would indicate that it was made in Germany. This particular piece does not have the Schafer & Vater mark but I have owned this piece before with the crown mark.

It measures about 5" high and 2 3/4" across the base and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or other damage.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
