Old, Bib Baby Orange Juice Advertising Tin Bank

Old, Bib Baby Orange Juice Advertising Tin Bank

This cute little tin is a vintage promotional coin bank advertising Bib Baby Orange Juice. The paper label on the tin can probably resembles quite accurately the actual graphics that were used for the "scientifically controlled" orange juice. It has a couple of nice little pictures, one of a baby crawling toward a bottle filled with orange juice and another of a cute child holding an armful of oranges. It was distributed by the BIB Corporation of Lakeland, Florida. The top has a 1 5/16" coin slot but the bottom had no means of retrieving your savings. Consequently someone partially opened the bottom edge, bent the bottom and then bent it back after the money had been removed. I believe this is from the 1950's.

It measures about 2 7/8" high and 2 1/8" in diameter. The paper label is in very nice condition with minor edge wear and soiling. There is a little discoloration on the top where the coin slot is and as previously stated the bottom has been opened about 1/3 of the way around the edge and is creased where it was bent.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
