Old Battery Operated Eveready Magnet Lite Flashlight with Box- 1950’s
Old Battery Operated Eveready Magnet Lite Flashlight with Box- 1950's
This vintage flashlight is called a 2 Cell Magnet Lite No. 5MF. It is probably made of highly polished aluminum with red and black detailing and a red plastic, screw-off reflector end. The end is marked with the name and model as well as Made in U.S.A. and the Union Carbide logo. The original price of $1.99 is still stamped on the lens. The large rectangle on the side slides to turn the light off and on and is also a magnet so it can be attached to a steel surface for convenience. It comes in its original box that has fun graphics of outdoor activities where you might need the assistance of a flashlight. I believe this is from 1957. It uses 2 D-Cell batteries- not included.
The flashlight measures about 7 ½" long is in very good working condition and appears to have never been used. The box measures about 7 7/8" by 2 ¼" square and is in nice condition with minor some wear, however there is a 1" tear along the crease at one end and the end of the end flap is torn off.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
