Old Bobbing Head Nodder Dolls - Donkey & Elephant Banks

These vintage banks are nodders, some times referred to as bobble head dolls, and are clever political representations of the Democrat and Republican party mascots. They are made of a painted, plaster like composition. Their heads are mounted on springs and bob up and down when touched. They each have a coin slot on their back and the original felt over the closure on the bottom. They also both have their original paper labels on the bottom; Fine Quality - Lego - Japan. They both have original paper flags around their neck.

The elephant is just over 7" tall and in is in very good condition with only a small paint blemish on his back. The donkey is nearly 8" to the top of his ear. He is in good condition with minor wear. He has a scuff on his right cheek and also has a small paint blemish on his back, but hardly noticeable. Both flags have been backed with brown paper, one of the flags was torn in two before being backed.
