Old Bromwell Flour Sifter with Painted Design & Original Label
This vintage Bromwell's Measuring-Sifter is painted an off white or cream color and decorated with a red and green design. The sides have measurements from two to five cups. It has a single screen with a four wire sifter that rotates with the turn of the wood knobbed handle. An original label on the side show it is a No. 40L 5-Cup Sifter from Leigh Bromwell of Michigan City, Indiana. I believe it is probably from the 1960's.
It measures about 6 1/4" at its highest side and just over 5" in diameter excluding the handle. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and operates smoothly. There is a little scuff wear to the paint on the raised areas and a little discoloration on the tin handle. There is also a little bit of rust inside of the handle and at the base where the handle attaches to the body.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
