Old Typewriter Ribbon Tin - Stafford’s Servus Brand

Old Typewriter Ribbon Tin - Stafford's Servus Brand

This vintage Stafford's ribbon tin has simple graphics but is a bit unusual. Glued to the center of the slip-on lid is a paper label. It has the Stafford's name and such at the top. In the middle it reads; A. Epstein Commercial & Social Stationary and includes a New York address. Inside is a slip of paper essentially asking that you reuse the tin under the W.P.B. (War Production Board) Limitation Order L73 which would date this tin to the early 1940's. On the back is the ribbon type and color and a guarantee.

It measures about 2 1/2" in diameter and is in fairly nice condition with good gloss and overall minor wear. There is a sizeable dent on the back and one side is badly scratched as shown in the photos. The edges of the paper show light wear..

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
