Old Betty Cavanna Novel - Going on Sixteen
This vintage book is by Betty Cavanna, author of many teenage favorites that often featured dogs. It's the story of a young girl with no mother and her relationship with an orphaned collie that she raises from a runt pup. It has 220 pages in a hardbound linen cover with the original dust jacket. It has a 1946 copyright by The Westminster Press of Philadelphia.
It measures about 5 5/8" by 8 5/16" by 3/4" and is in very good condition with minimal wear. The inside pages are crisp and clean and the spine is tight. The cover shows minimal wear due to the protection of the dust jacket but does have a s slight amount of top and bottom edge and corner wear. It is a previous library copy with remnants of the checkout card envelope on the inside cover, however it doesn't seem to have been used much. The dust jacket is attractive but it is worn and torn and some features are "outlined" in ink by a previous reader.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
