Grinning Oriental - Old Schafer & Vater Pitcher

This vintage pitcher was made by the Schafer & Vater Company of Germany in the early 1900's. It's a humorous piece with what looks like an Oriental child making a funny-face, stretching her mouth outward with her fingers, exposing a mouthful of teeth. Her eyes are bulging and her chubby bare feet are below her chin in her seated position. Its hair is pulled back and the queue makes the handle of the pitcher. It has nice colors and detail and all of the characteristics of an S & V piece and is marked on the bottom with the S&V crown mark.

It measures about 3 3/8" high and is in very good condition with no damage. There is some black paint on the right side of the face and some green paint on the left foot done in the manufacturing.
