Old Juicerette - Rival Orange Juicer
This vintage juicer is a small version of the typical Rival Juice-O-Mat. It was made by the same company, Rival Mfg. Co. of Kansas City, Missouri. The body appears to be made entirely of aluminum, painted white, with a removable, red plastic reamer insert. The handle operates a toothed shaft which raises and lowers the domed lid. Raise it up, place an orange over the reamer cone and lower the dome, extracting the juice. The juice dispenses through the hole into the glass you would have placed on the base of the alcove. By the patent date on the bottom this is to the late1930's. The plastic piece is marked Konvakone with a design patent number.
It measures about 8 ½" tall, 5 ¼" across the widest part of the base and 6 1/8" front to back and is in good original condition with light wear. The original paint shows some chip wear mostly along the sides, bottom and front edge of the alcove and the handle. The plastic has some scratches and roughness. It appears to have all of its original feet on the bottom.
