Old German Candy Container - Hen on Nest

This vintage candy container is made of a composition material and looks like a hen sitting on a nest. It is nicely done in Easter colors and was made in Germany which is marked on the bottom of the cardboard closure base. There is an excelsior type material on the top of the base to make it look like a nest. The base doesn't lie flat but rather curls slightly as though caressing the hen.

It measures about 3 1/2" high and about 4 1/4" from beak to tail. The base, which was undoubtedly flat originally, measures about 3 1/4" by 3 1/2". It is in good original condition with some minor wear on the lavender.
