Old Trader Vic's Pacific Island Cook Book, Hardbound 1968 Edition

This vintage, used recipe book is titled Trader Vic's Pacific Island Cookbook With Side Trips to Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Mexico & Texas. It states that anyone who relishes sumptuous, exotic dining and drinking will find what he is looking for in this book, and have fun too! It has about 300 recipes that can be prepared with minimal effort with quite a few color plates. Lobster Cantonese, Abalone Macao, Cho Gu Chicken and Hawaiian Roast Pork are a few of the recipes and the drink names are even more exotic sounding. It has 286 pages including the index. This Book Club Edition has a 1968 copyright date and was published by Doubleday & Co. of New York. Original dust jacket.

It measures about 6 ¼" by 9 ½" by 1" and is in very good condition. The inside pages are crisp and clean with minimal wear. The spine is tight although is does have a tendency to open to the center color plate where the spine has broken slightly. The hardbound cover is also in good condition with minimal wear having been protected by the dust cover which is worn, torn and stained.
