1936 Hardbound Book- Best Loved Poems

This wonderful vintage book, The Best Loved Poems of the American People selected by Hazel Felleman is a compilation poems from poets such as Poe, Edgar A Guest, the Brownings, Lamb and Emerson to name a few. The works include poems of friendship, love, mothers and inspiration plus ones that tell a story like The Doctor's Story and Christmas Day in the Workhouse. It has 670 pages and is indexed in several ways including by First Line. It has a 1936 copyright by the publishing company, Garden City Publishing Co., Inc.. No dust jacket.

It measures about 5 7/8" by 8 1/2" by 1 3/4" and is in generally good condition. The inner pages appear to be unmarked and clean and it has a tight spine. The hardbound cover shows light edge wear. The title page is torn along the outer edge as shown in the photos.
