Old Steven's Toy Kaleidoscope

This is a vintage kaleidoscope from the Steven Manufacturing Company of St. Louis. The cardboard tube is paper covered with a red, white & blue snowflake design. One end has a plastic lens through which you can see the multicolored chards of what look to be plastic. The other end has a plastic cover over the piece of cardboard that has a hole for peering through. Look through that end, hold it up to the light and rotate the cylinder to see the colorful changing geometric designs. Hours were probably spent in total amazement with this toy is the 1950's or 60's.

It measures about 7 7/16" long by almost 2" in diameter. The paper has some creases and the seam edge has been torn as shown in the pictures. There is also a light pen scribble on the name banner.
