Old Jointed Gold Mohair Teddy Bear with Squeaker
This little vintage teddy bear is probably from the 1930's or 40's. It looks like it's made of a golden mohair with velveteen-like pads. It has a sweet face with a stitched nose and mouth and black shoe button eyes. The sewn on ears also have the velveteen on the inside. It appears to be stuffed with excelsior and his arms and legs are pin jointed. His head is fixed. There is a visible hump on his back where the cry box is that squeaks when depressed. There is no tag but I would guess he was made in Japan.
He measures about 11" toe to ear tops or 10 ¼" excluding the ears. He's in nice condition with light play wear and slight soiling. His front side has faded some and is a lighter color than the back which is more yellow.
