Old Celluloid Hen Baby Rattle

Old Celluloid Hen Baby Rattle

This nice looking barnyard biddy is a child's vintage rattle. The mark on the celluloid is difficult to make out but it looks like a V over an C with U S A across the top.

It stands about 2 7/8" tall and the base measures about 1 5/8" by 1 1/4". The celluloid is in good condition and the colors are bright. The bottom is pushed in a little which has caused two small splits. It looks like someone has put white glue on the grass edge to maybe keep the splits from traveling - (it shows up as a little dark spot noticeable in the first picture).

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
