Sample Tin, Pennant Golden Table Syrup - 1937
This old tin was a Free Size of Pennant Golden Table Syrup offered by Union Starch Refining Company of Indiana. The paper label is covered in colorful graphics including a cake, cookies, a pie, pancakes and a waffle, all using the product. There is also a baby with a notation that it that it could be used as a supplement in milk for infants. It has its original pry out lid and a 1937 Trade Mark copyright date.
It measures 1 ¾" in diameter and 2 ¼" tall and is in very nice condition for a paper label. There is minor soiling, discoloration and scuff wear. There are wrinkles in the paper which would be from manufacturing. The edge of the pry out lid is misshapen from its removal.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
