Children's Yankee Doodle Stationery - Vintage

This is a wonderful old box of Yankee Doodle Jr. Stationery with its original box. The box has cute patriotic graphics with a little girl dressed like Uncle Sam riding a dappled stick rocking horse. The box is also decorated with red, white and blue stars and stripes. Inside are sheets of lined paper with two little girls each on a different rocking horse. The sheets are held together with a ribbon tied in a bow. Below the sheets are four bundles of envelopes banded together with a strip of paper. It appears one sheet of the stationery has been used as there are sixteen envelopes and only 15 sheets of paper.

The sheets measure about 6 3/4" by 8 3/4" and the envelopes measure about 3 5/8" by 4 5/8". They are all in good condition with a little age discoloration. The box which measures about 7 1/2" by 9 1/2" shows some wear mostly along the edges. It is depressed some in the center section so it has creases from the corners to the center. There are light pencil scribbles on one end of the box as well as some pencil outlines on the little girl on the front.
