Vintage Hand Painted Cedar Deer Pin

This funky old pin of a spotted fawn that looks a bit like Bambi is made of wood with painted details. It has a simple plastic, c-closure pin glued on the back that is marked; Pat. Pend.. It comes on its original packaging, a piece of construction paper, which reads; Genuine Hand Decorated Cedar - Made in U.S.A. - Designed and Distributed by The House of Leroy - Merchandise Mart, Chicago. I believe this is from the 1950's.

The pin measures about 2 1/2" high by 1 3/4" nose to tail and 3/8" thick and is in very good condition. The paper measures about 3" by 4" and is wrinkled with light edge wear a few extra holes.
