Vintage Jim Jam Jems - 1920 Political Magazine
This small paperback book is an edition of Jim Jams Jems - A Volley of Truth dated August 1920. It was written by the fictional author Jim Jam Junior, edited and published by Sam H. Clark. The editorial magazine was apparently published monthly Bismarck, North Dakota (and later in Minnesota too) during the early 1900's and contained articles and commentary full of humor, satire, propaganda and sensationalism often politically based. On the cover of this issue is a dapper gent surrounded by papers that read such things as; Campaign Lies, Falsehood, Slander, Mud and Election Lies. In his hands is a paper that reads; TRUTH and a cartoon balloon of him saying; Thank heavens I can get the truth somewhere! It has 64 pages and is written on a heavy gauge paper with a slightly heavier paper cover and stapled binding. There are a couple of small illustrations but is primary text. The original price as noted on the back was 25c.
It measures about 5 5/8" by 6 7/8" and is in nice condition. The inside pages are clean with minor creased corners and edge wear inside and on the cover.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
