Antique Antique Victorian (Circa 1870) quadruple-silverplate, pedestal Bride's Basket (or cake/bread stand) with swing arm. With an ornate raised design, encircling the rim ~ and sitting on a low-footed pedestal, Bride's basket features an open-work swing-arm accented by tiny florals.
The center bowl features an enchanting design, that repeats around the entire piece. Engraved scene of Swallow-like birds, that have been drawn to the nectar of a flower, with Lily-of-the-Valley.
Heavily silver-plated Bride's basket (or cake stand)~ measures 13" (including swing-arm in upright position) x 9 3/4" wide. In excellent condition, (with the exception of a small discoloration on base, measuring 1 1/2" 1/2" ~ that cannot been seen when displayed (shown in additional photo), some wear on the underside/base of the footed-pedestal as shown.
