Tartanware English Game Counter C.1880
This is a rare English cribbage or game counter made of tartanware with inset small panels of light walnut. The board is 10" long, 3" wide and is 3/8" high. It sits flat on the table. The base is covered with a cork like material, which is worn a bit.
The game board came with one game peg, as shown in the photos. At each end of the game counter there are two holes for pegs held in place with brass swivels.
This rare tartan piece is in very good condition, with only a very small paper loss in one corner of the board. This Tartanware game board would be a wonderful addition to a collection, and could be used.
