English Victorian Cameo

A beautiful Shell Cameo, set in a Silver surround. This cameo is 1 7/8" long and 1 1/2" wide. There is a catch on the back of the cameo frame that demonstrates that this could either be worn as a broach or added to a chain.

There is very small evidence that this lovely Shell Cameo Frame once had a gold wash and now the sterling silver is 95% evident. This wonderful early Cameo is in lovely condition with NO chips or cracks to the shell or beautiful cameo. This was bought in England and inside this lovely Jewelry box, that will go with the Cameo to keep it safe. I do not think this was the original box.
