Limoge Porcelain Ewer Aesthetic Movement

Circa 1890's. Limoge porcelain ewer. This is another excellent example of Victorian Aesthetic Movement porcelain. This dramatic French jug has huge pink flowers on stems with wicked looking thorns and red and brown leaves. The shape and design of the handle is Egyptian Revival in feel. The back round color is a pale yellow and there are lots of brushed gold accents. The handle is green with gold accents. Signed T & V on the base for the French maker Tressemann & Vogt, mark 4a. Very fine original condition. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 10 1/2" tall x 7" wide x 3 1/2" base diameter. Price $275.
