Set Of Four Minton Scenic Plates

Circa 1868-90. Exceptionally fine set of four Mintons scenic plates. The photographs do not convey the quality and beauty of this rare, mint condition set. Each plate is a hand painted water front scene with ocean, boats, buildings and people surrounded by a fine gold rim. This wonderful example of 19th century English porcelain art was made for and retailed by "Bailey, Banks & Biddle" of Philadelphia. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. All four plates are in virtually "like new" condition. 9 1/2" diameter. Price $895 the set.
