This striking Chinese Agate vase is hand carved in Hu shape and comes complete with its original matching lid. The precious artwork dates back to the 19th century and shows superior surface polishing. It is also very well hollowed including the foot and the inside of the lid.
At the shoulders are dragon head handles with moveable rings. The lid shows a figural finial in shape of a Fo lion dog.
The agate material has an elegant, shaded grey tone with sparse veined inclusions. The decent color play, translucent quality and glossy finish ad well to the sophisticated appearance of this masterpiece.
This is an incredible opportunity for the pride of ownership one gets from obtaining a magnificent piece once owned by Royalty.
