Antique Porcelain Netsuke, Monkey-Headed With Moveable Head Carrying A Fan, Very Unusual!
I guess I don't have to tell you that I love unusual interesting items. This certainly qualifies!
This Monkey-Headed netsuke wears a blue robe, and features a movable head. He also wears a headdress and carries a fan. He is depicted with an open mouth. Unsigned.
Size: 3 and 3/4 inches tall.
Condition: No damage. The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners. Minute wear.
Circa Late 1800s.
