RARE Chinese Mudman Brushwasher, Circa 1930

This mudman is next to a large water vase actually used for washing brushes. He is glazed in the Sancai tradition of Jade Green, Mustard Yellow and Cerulean Blue.

Size: 5 inches tall and nearly 4 inches across.

Circa 1930.

Condition: Colors are vibrant. Minimum rubs around the base. There is some dark color on the head and both hands, possibly from brushes that had been washed in the vase. No cracks, breaks or losses. The overall condition is somewhat better than you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.

This is part of the fabulous collection of 144 vintage and antique mudmen I have just purchased, that had been lovingly collected over many decades. I purchased all 144 pieces, all in Very Good to Excellent Condition. I will be listing all of them, and of course will consider a reduced price if one were to purchase all or a large number of them. I am listing them at very affordable prices individually as well.
