Chinese Mudman Standing Fisherman, Barefoot, With Pipe, - Circa 1930

This standing barefoot fisherman is holding a pipe. The pipe today is sometimes used as a symbol of masculinity, and is sometimes pictured to show the Men's Room.

He is glazed in the Sancai tradition of Cerulean Blue, Mustard Yellow and Jade Green. Brown was used for his hat, pipe and base.

He is 5 and 1/2 inches tall.

Circa 1930.

He is in Very Good Condition with the colors still vibrant and one rough rubbed area on the base. The overall condition is much better than you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.

This is part of the fabulous collection of 144 vintage and antique mudmen I have just purchased, that had been lovingly collected over many decades. I purchased all 144 pieces, all in Very Good to Excellent Condition. I will be listing all of them, and of course will consider a reduced price if one were to purchase all or a large number of them. I am listing them at very affordable prices individually as well.
