Large and Dramatic Wood Carving - "David And Goliath" - From Israel

The story of David and Goliath is a beautiful and inspiring one. For the small shepherd boy to have brought down the giant Goliath and saved his people. He didn't do it by brute strength.... rather, he used a sling shot with a large rock, He is depicted standing over Goliath holding the rock that made the fatal blow. Brains over brawn....

This finely carved wood sculpture is actually two pieces. David attaches to the base by the hole drilled in the heel of one foot. (See photos).

This measures a bit over 14 inches long (the base) and stands (with David) about 9 inches tall. Unsigned.

There might be some very minor damage. I cannot find any, but this is an old piece. But certainly still in at least Very Good Condition. Please note that the physical colours of this item vary from the pictures in the listing. The wood is actually darker than pictured, but I increased the exposure to show details better.
