Authentic Old Vienna Bronze TEN PIECE Orchestra of French Bulldogs

Up for consideration is a complete band with ten fabulous musicians playing the French Bulldog Symphony!

The band consists of ten fabulous French Bulldogs playing different instruments; an accordion, a double bass, the wind section with a flutist and a saxophonist, a brass section with three musicians, a drum and last, but not least a singer and, of course, a conductor. The latter ones with sheet music.

Each figurine has been created with great detail, especially the tiny instruments. This old cold painted authentic Vienna or Wiener Bronze orchestra was cast in the traditional lost wax technique (cire perdue). The polychrome painting (several different layers) is called cold painted since it was not fired.

This is circa 1920s.

DIMENSIONS: The dogs without their instruments are c. 1 5/8" (4 cm) tall. CONDITION: Good. Some scattered paint losses. Original paint, no restoration, no repairs, no touch ups!

The bronze has been cleaned professionally.

I did not find a mark.

This looks better in person than in photos. It is hard to photograph miniatures.
