Paul Herman is an artist whose works thus far have been realism, with an impressionist influence in the Renaissance tradition.. Paul is a European who has been establishing himself on the Continent for the past thirty years. I believe he is developing well, and some of his works are really excellent, and belong in modern collections. I have bought several small gems. This is 8 inches by 10 inches; a perfect size to be hung almost anywhere. This exquisite sprig of Bougainvillea in a glass of water is poignant. It's simplicity and beauty graces whatever room it is in. One can imagine a small atelier with a tenant who has a soul filled with beauty and a wallet rather empty. Of course the ability of a painting to inspire emotion in the viewer; to fire the imagination; is a tribute to its excellence. I have bougainvillea outside my home on part of our fences. Ours is a bit more purple and pink in color, but still has graced my desk and imparted the lovely feeling of spring. This measures 8 x 10 inches (20 x 26 cm). It is in Excellent Condition. (Hard to photograph because of the glaze). Signed Lower Right.
