This is a wonderful example of why Carl Kauba's sculptures are sought after the world over! The feeling of motion and strength is almost palpable. Look at the Indian's expression of intensity. He is brandishing a raised tomahawk in one hand, and a small knife in the other. I like the pattern on his buckskin pants; his necklace made of animal fangs; the braids and feathers; all well detailed. It is signed KAUBA (incised) in the sculpture next to the leg he is standing upon. This wonderful little gem stands only 7 and 1/4 inches tall, but even at this size it has a commanding presence.
