Royal Doulton Large Character Jug - "Mr. Quaker" Signed Limited Edition, c 1985

This is a very special find for the serious collector of Royal Doulton Character Jugs. The Mr. Quaker jugs were made as an advertising piece for the internal use of Quaker Oats Limited,and a few were sold to members of the Royal Doulton International Collectors Club. They were issued with a certificate signed by Sir Richard Bailey and Michael Doulton. This jug's original certificate is included.

Mr. Quaker was commissioned by Quaker Oats Limited and issued in 1985 in a limited edition of 3500 pieces.

The Designer was Harry Sales; the Modeller was Graham Tongue.

This jug is in Excellent Condition.

It stands 7 and 1/2 inches tall.

Its listed value is listed in the Charlton Standard Catalogue of Royal Doulton Jugs, 9th Edition, as $800.00.

Due to the scarcity of this particular jug, we feel it will be a very good investment piece for future appreciation.
