Cybis - Carousel "Bear" - Closed Limited Edition, Signed and Numbered, c 1981
Another fabulous Carousel sculpture! This is the Bear. He was issued in a very small edition of only 325. This particular piece is Number 30 of the series. The lower numbers nearly always command higher prices than the later ones. (The first 10 are the Artist's Proofs, and the first 50 are considered more desirable than later pieces).
This is in Excellent Condition. He is listed in the Cybis Porcelain Price Guide by Carol Marren, August, 2003, as having current value of $1600. It's issue price was $1200. We offer this fine piece at quite a good price.
