Royal Doulton - "Bacchus" - Mini Toby Jug - Discontinued - England, c 1960s
Bacchus, God of Wine, depicted with his mischievous grin and grapes hanging from his headband. Part of the bough is the handle. Royal Doulton really has a way with Toby Jugs. Even a miniature like this, only 2 inches tall and 2 and 1/2 inches wide, has great detail; from the leaves, hair, beard, weathered look on his face, right down to the button on his collar. This is in Excellent Condition with no losses.
