Antique Hand-Painted Primitive Wood Paper "Knife"
This is a delightful old piece, from the late 19th Century; possibly earlier. It is just under 11 inches long and has been hand made and decorated in a charming naive fashion. The enamel painting includes the colors of ochre, pink and white and they would probably clean very well. The base color is a medium-dark blue, and the leaves and flowers have been highlighted in fine gold lines, as have the wings of the birds. The photos do not do this justice.
