Magnificent French Gold Turquoise Hair Comb

The wide curved arc of the hinged acid tested 18k yellow gold heading is ornamented with thirty-three (33) oval and round turquoise cabochons in a matrix of inset black enamel. A series of thirteen (13) alternating long and short pear shaped turquoise cabochons form a fringe of articulated pendant dangles. Please note the black enamel detail around each of the turquoise stones.

Measurements: Comb is 3-1/4 inches (8.2 cm) in total length by 3 inches (7.5 cm) in width. Decorative area not including pendants is 1 inch (2.5 cm) in height and 2 inches (5 cm) including longest dangle by 5 inches (12.7 cm) in width. Weight of 83.5 grams (53.7 dwt).

Condition: Excellent; a minute loss of black enamel around several tear drop turquoise.

Origin: Import mark into France.
