Antique Enamel Flowered Hair Comb

Natural amber hued horn adds a mellow touch to this acid tested 14k yellow gold two prong hair comb. On both sides an enchanting design of flowers enameled in French blue and white dot the open work yellow gold labyrinth. A yellow gold cap with scalloped border and floral design tops the arched comb. Perfect for a collection or personal adornment.

Date: Circa 1900.

Measurements: 4-3/8 inches (11.3 cm) in total length by 1-1/16 inches (2.2 cm) at the widest. Length of decorative area is 1-1/2 inches (3.9 cm). Weight of 9.0 grams (5.8 dwt).

Condition: Very good; 9 flowers with minute amounts of enamel loss visible upon very close inspection or with magnification – mostly edge wear and a few tiny edge chips.
