Adams Jasperware Blue & White Jar With Sterling Lid

This is a very nice example of Jasperware made by the English Company Adams. The design is of a hunting scene and it is all round the outside of the jar. The base is impressed with the words: Adams, Est 1657, Tunstall, England. This mark dates from 1890-1910. The sterling lid is stamped with hallmarks. The bale and collar do not have any metal marks. There is a cut out notch on the lid for a spoon. The height of the jar is about 3" with the handle down. The width of the base is 2 5/8" across. There is no damage on the jar. The metal also seems to be in very good condition.
