This is obviously a Souvenir Item as it has the AUVERGNE Coat of Arms on it. I would say it has some age on it as the Thermometer is of an older type. The sabot is a clog worn apparently by the lower classes of France in the 18th century and these were made mainly in Auvergne and Bretagne. There is a hook on the back as this is designed to hang on a wall. Missing one little copper flower decorative piece.
