A bit of a Big Monster this one at 14 1/2" in length and a blade depth of 4 1/2".The handle shows some fire scorching to one side...could be sanded off if you wanted to. The blade is big and heavy and shows 'flattening' on top edge where it has been used for 'whacking' solid items.Blade needs cleaning but no real rust issues at all.GILPIN were well known Victorian Era knife and metal wares makers based in Cannock, Staffordshire.
