James Yates Pewter Porringer Circa 1860-1870

A very nice old PORRINGER from the well known Victorian Pewter Maker JAMES YATES. The Porringer is in lovely condition and measures 10" from handle to handle tip, 5 1/2" in diameter, and 1 1/2" in height.(Poringers are described as a small dish, often with a handle, for soup, porridge, etc. [changed from Middle English potinger, poteger, from Old French potager, from potage soup, contents of a pot.
