Early American MERIDEN B Pewter Goblet Shooting Trophy

From the well known maker American maker, MERIDEN, and marked on base with 1528 serial number. This small Goblet stands 6 1/2" in height with an opening diameter of 3" and is made of a pewter type referred to as Britannia Metal. Obviously made as a Trophy or Presentation piece for a shooter, or a Gun Club, but never engraved with the winners details. I would imagine the serial number will date this piece accurately but by the engraving work on it it would appear to be from around 1860 -1890.
