A nice little child's cast iron Safe, or Penny Bank, that looks to date to the late 1800's - early 1900's. The bank has a combination dial lock on front. The bank is 'as found' so not cleaned-up at all....some turps and a coat of lacquer would bring it up nicely. The STAR BRAND sounds like it could be of American manufacture but there are no makers markings that I can see. There is a burnished Art Nouveau leaf pattern on the sides and back. Stands just 3.5" high and is 2.62" in width.
