Old Canadian School Tennis Trophy 'Havergal College' 1906

A very solid EPNS Plate on brass Trophy Presentation Tankard. The tankard is well inscribed and is dated as 1906. It is 5" in height being 3 1/4" in diameter at top and 4' at base. It has a glass bottom also. Made By REED & BARTON a very well renowned maker in the USA. Havergal College is a leading independent boarding and day school for girls in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Havergal was founded in 1894 as a low church alternative to Bishop Strachan School, by a group of men led by The Honourable H. Blake, and is named after the hymn composer, author and humanitarian Frances Ridley Havergal. Havergal College is known for its excellence in education and tradition, and has many prominent alumni.
